How to find a ride

So what's going on. You post your ride on "Bla Bla Car". And after some time, an SMS will come to your phone stating that the passenger wants to book a seat. And this is where things get interesting...
What do bombers do? Very simple! They reserve seats in your car and don't drive.
After all, their goal is to fill their car with passengers, not yours. Therefore, if there are no empty seats in yours, then real fellow travelers will try to book seats with them.
The method is simple, but it is unlikely that an ordinary driver who occasionally uses the services of "bla bla car" will notice the catch the first time.
I will describe in more detail. "Bombillas" buy lots and lots of SIM cards. For each SIM card they register account passenger on the site "bla bla car". Profile photos are stupidly taken from the Internet or they don't bother with it at all.. Further, when your trip appears on the site, they book seats on behalf of such non-existent fellow travelers.
Further, there may be different scenarios.
a) "bomb" can reserve a seat and stupidly remain silent until the very beginning of the trip. When you call him to clarify the details of the meeting, his phone may be switched off, or he simply will not pick up the phone;
b) "bomb" can send you SMS like "my phone does not work for calls, but I'm definitely on my way, there are two of us";

Further, in my car, we proceeded to the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where we waited a couple more hours in the "reception". It should be noted that we have not seen more of that "builder".
When it was already completely dark, and this was already after 20 o'clock, the opera officer came out and showed us an administrative protocol in which we were suspected of using drugs. What followed was:
- removal of fingerprints (through a large newfangled scanner)
- photography (modern digital camera)
- and ... the most remarkable (!) trip in a barred cell of a police UAZ, accompanied by four (!) police officers. We went to the nearest hospital to take tests for the use of prohibited substances. Analyzes of course showed nothing.
Then we signed papers stating that we would come to the investigator as soon as necessary, and at “23 with kopecks” in the evening we went outside the gates of the department ...
In this story, I have no one to blame but myself (I missed the passenger check). Right here is this. However, there are many advantages:

It is advisable to put a gps beacon in the car or use the iphone to rummage around your location to relatives.
During the trip:
- it is desirable that the fellow traveler rode in the front seat.
- a fellow traveler should not be left alone in the car, for example during refueling.
- during a stop by the traffic police, watch the hands of a fellow traveler. Although I understand that in practice this is not possible.
all these measures are necessary in order to reduce the risk of a sudden "throw off" of the goods.
Recommendations for checking the cargo (if they want to transfer something through you):
- the one who transmits must inspire confidence, ask to make a scan of the passport.
- ask from whom and to whom what is inside the cargo if the box is sealed.
- be sure to open the box, envelope, etc., carefully inspect the contents, and if the sender opposes these items for any reason, immediately refuse.
DO NOT pass at all:
- cargo that is difficult to open and check, for example, stuffed animals (yes, there were those who wanted to transfer a stuffed wolf to its full height, so to speak), sealed boxes of mobs/phones, a pack of concentrated juice, and the like.
- samples of "sea bath salts", "test" chemicals, pills/drugs "for grandma" and something like that.
- sealed envelopes with documents. ask them to open!
Neglect of these rules may threaten you with Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - up to 3 years, and then if the size of the "party" is small.
Be vigilant, take care of yourself and your loved ones!
A week after the events described above, the investigator called and asked to come for interrogation. "Just 10 minutes." However, it really was 10 minutes. For which:
I learned that that "builder" faces 15 years for transportation in especially large quantities (about 1 kg), followed by the complex name of a narcotic substance.
That if the "builder" had put his package in the seat pocket or the glove box, then I, as a driver, would have been in big trouble, up to an accomplice.
Signed a witness interrogation protocol that corroborated the story above.
And when I went out of the gates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I immediately imagined a situation when a fellow traveler sits next to me (even with a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and an active profile in VK), who drinks tea from a small thermos all the way and, for convenience, puts this thermos in his pocket by the car door - nothing suspicious! At the traffic police post, the thermos remains in the car. Nothing was found in the companion's personal belongings. But at the thermos they found a second bottom, in which 1 kg of a prohibited substance. The fellow traveler says that he did not see the thermos in his eyes. We are in the car together. It seems to me unrealistic to insure against such a scenario. Therefore, savings of 6 thousand rubles on gasoline in exchange for a period of 3 years (or even 15 years) are somehow incomparable. In general, think 10 times before using blah blah car.
