Ctrl + C- a standard and frequently used keyboard shortcut for copying data to the Windows clipboard. To copy a certain fragment of text, tabular data, etc. to the buffer, you must first select this fragment (as a rule, this is done by pressing and holding the left mouse button, after which the mouse is moved over the fragment that needs to be selected and the button is released).
To then copy the selection to the clipboard, the user presses the key combination Ctrl + C, for which you need to press and hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard (leftmost in the bottom row), and then, without releasing it, press the C key, and then release both keys ...
This action (along with pasting from the clipboard - by pressing Ctrl + V) is often called copy-paste according to the words Copy + Paste - copy and paste.
The use of keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + C (for the "copy" command), Ctrl + V (for "paste"), Ctrl + Z ("undo"), Ctrl + X ("cut") was popularized by Apple in 1983-1984 .g., and then picked up by Microsoft.
There are other ways to copy data to the clipboard - from the context menu, from the main menu, toolbar, etc., but using the Ctrl + C keyboard shortcut, this action is probably the most quick and convenient. In some programs (for example, Inkscape) the combination does not work in the Russian keyboard layout, and then you have to use these alternatives.
The Ctrl-Insert key combination is also known, which in some programs performs the specified action.
To select several fragments at once (for example, cells in a table, etc.), hold down the Ctrl key (to select individual objects) or the Shift key (to select a range of objects).
To select all the text at once, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + A.
Most of the Windows keyboard shortcuts I use for managing windows, and one very important one for launching programs and navigating to folders.
The number from 1 to 9 is the ordinal number of the application on the taskbar, counting from the left (0 is the tenth application). Usually, this combination is associated with launching programs, but I use it more to switch to already open applications!
I remember the ordinal numbers of the first five or six by heart, because I work in them most often, and it's easy to reach them with one hand. This method is faster for me than switching to the desired application by pressing Alt + Tab or Win + Tab, although without the first one it is difficult for me to imagine working in Windows.
Place windows on the left or right half of the screen, which is very convenient when you need to work with two windows at the same time. These are Aero Snap keyboard shortcuts.
Of course, the wider the screen, the larger the window size and the more convenient the work.
Displays the desktop, which is useful when you need to start a program from it or open a file. Unlike Win + M, this keyboard shortcut does not minimize all windows, but pressing it again restores their previous positions. However, Win + Shift + M does the same.
However, for me, the main difference between these combinations is that Win + D can be pressed with one hand without removing the other from the mouse - after all, it is with its help that the next action is often performed!
Without applying changes, it closes dialog boxes - system and program settings, saving and opening files, etc. The key is equivalent to the Cancel button.
Try pressing Esc and in command line, just put something in it first :)
Opens the Run window. I use this keyboard shortcut every day and many times. It speeds up my work a lot thanks to automatic command and path substitution.
About all new I talked about Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts six months before its release :)
Gradually, my IE + Opera browser duo turns into a trio as I use Chrome a lot at work. Therefore, for effective work, it is very important for me to find common points of contact in them. I use five keyboard shortcuts that work the same in any browser.
Goes to the address bar, highlighting its contents for a URL or search query. I do this very often from the keyboard, because it is still followed by text input. The alternative is Ctrl + L, but you have to press it with your right hand, removing it from the mouse.
This is a combination for searching. It goes to the search box (Opera), or to the address bar with a question mark appended (in IE and Chrome).
The question mark explicitly tells the browser that a search is being made from the address bar rather than entering an address. This combination does not appear to work in Firefox, although it is documented (however Ctrl + K does work).
The combination is convenient in Opera, because the browser sometimes incorrectly processes search requests from the address bar, displaying the message opera: illegal-url. Therefore, I use a "search" combination when the request contains characters that the browser can interpret as a URL.
Oh yeah, don't forget to try Ctrl + E in Windows 7 Explorer :)
Go to the beginning and end of a web page. On pages with a lot of text, these keys lead to the target much faster than scrolling with the mouse.
Refreshes the web page, ignoring the browser cache.
This combination does not work in Opera, which does not support this feature at all, although it seems to be planning to implement it. The parameters for updating pages in Opera are set in the settings.
By default Opera checks images and documents every 5 hours, but I prefer to check documents always.
If you enable image validation on every page load, pressing F5 is almost equivalent to Ctrl + F5 in other browsers. However, loading pages will be slower.
Closes the browser tab. This combination is convenient to use when you need to close many unnecessary tabs in a row, but not all except the active one.
Take note Browser shortcut lists:
Chrome| Firefox | Internet Explorer | Opera
Every day I enter a huge amount of text from the keyboard. I write:
Therefore, it is very important for me not only to quickly enter text, but also to edit it. My favorite keyboard shortcuts help me with this.
I have already mentioned these keys in the context of navigating a web page. As you type, they move the cursor to the beginning or end of the line. In addition to text editors, they work in the command line, browser address bar, web forms, etc.
Selects text from the cursor to the beginning or end of the line. These combinations are equivalent to clicking in the middle of a line and then at the beginning or end while holding down the Shift key. These are usually followed by copying or cutting the text using combinations that are known to everyone, I hope.
Select a whole word to the left or right of the cursor. Sequential pressing of any of these combinations gives a more accurate result than moving the arrow while holding down the Shift key.
You can not only select words, but also move through them using Ctrl and arrows.
Delete whole words to the left or right of the cursor (interestingly, the first combination does not work in Windows Notepad).
Calls my clipboard manager which is incredible time saver when working with text!
Since you do not have the program, this combination will not work for you. Perhaps the topic of clipboard managers deserves a separate story :)
By the way, by pressing Win + F1, you can enter the query "keyboard shortcuts" and find a lot ... it's clear what.
I am sure that most of the combinations I described did not open America to you. But if you've learned something new, I'll be happy to read about it in the comments. Most importantly, tell us about your favorite keyboard shortcuts! Perhaps I or other readers will take note of them.

There are many things you can undo and redo in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. You can undo changes even after you save them, and then save again, as long as you do not exceed the maximum number of undo operations (by default, Office saves the last 100 undoable actions).
To undo the last action, press CTRL + Z.
You can also press the button Cancel on the panel quick access... If you need to undo multiple actions, you can click the Undo button (or CTRL + Z) multiple times.
You won't be able to undo some actions, such as selecting commands on the tab File Cancel changes to Can't be canceled.
Cancel, highlight the actions in the list, and click the list.
Advice: with information about restoring a previous version of a file on onedrive or onedrive for business
To redo the undone action, press CTRL + Y or F4. (If F4 doesn't work, try pressing F-LOCK or followed by F4).
ReturnReturn appears only after canceling the action.)
To repeat a simple action, such as a paste operation, press CTRL + Y or F4 (if F4 doesn't work, try pressing F-LOCK key or FN followed by F4).
If you prefer to work with a mouse, on the Quick Access Toolbar, click Repeat.
Notes:
Optional: Configuring Undo Limit
By default, Excel and other Office programs have a maximum of 100 undo and redo actions. However, this can be changed by adding an entry to the Microsoft Windows Registry.
Important: Remember that some actions, such as clicking buttons on a tab File or saving the file cannot be undone, and running the macro in Excel clears the undo stack, making it unusable.
Warning: Caution should be exercised when increasing the number of cancellation levels: the more the levels of cancellation, the more random access memory(RAM) is required by Excel to store the undo history, which affects Excel performance.
Here's how to change the number of undo levels for Excel through the registry editor. For Word or PowerPoint, follow the same steps.
Close all running Office programs.
In Windows 10 or Windows 8, right-click the button Start and select the item Execute.
In Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click Start.
In Windows XP, click the Start button, and then select Execute.
In a search box or field Execute enter regedit and press Enter.
Depending on your version of Windows, you may need to confirm opening Registry Editor.
In Registry Editor, expand the registry subkey corresponding to your version of Excel:
Excel 2007: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 12.0 \ Excel \ Options
Excel 2010: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 14.0 \ Excel \ Options
Excel 2013: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 15.0 \ Excel \ Options
Excel 2016: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 16.0 \ Excel \ Options
On the menu Edit select item Create, and then - DWORD parameter... Please select New value 1, specify the type UndoHistory, and then press Enter.
On the menu Edit select team Change.
In the dialog box Change DWORD parameter click Decimal In chapter Calculus system... Enter a number in the field Meaning, press the button OK and close Registry Editor.
Start Excel. Excel will keep the undo log for the number of actions that you specified in step 7.
Press + Z until you clear the error.
Or press the button Cancel in the upper left corner of the ribbon.
You won't be able to undo some actions, such as menu selections File or saving a file. If you cannot undo an action, the command Cancel changes to Can't be canceled.
To undo multiple actions at the same time, click the arrow next to the button. Cancel, highlight the actions in the list, and click the list.
Advice: If you can't undo the changes you want to restore, you may be able to restore a previous version of the file. Check out

Knowledge of keyboard shortcuts is extremely important for the modern user. And many are wondering what will happen if you press Ctrl + W. In fact, it is not so difficult to understand what the threat of this action is. You can immediately note: nothing dangerous will happen. So for the sake of interest, you can try to click on these buttons on the keyboard. And then you will know from your own experience what should happen. If such experiments are not to your liking, then it is better to read more about this combination.
Wondering what happens if you press Ctrl + W on your keyboard? Then do not be surprised by the sudden opening of the drive after the performed action. Sometimes this keyboard shortcut will help you operate your DVD drive.
True, such cases are extremely rare. And they are often set manually by the user. That is, by default, Ctrl + W has a different purpose. But for the future, be aware that sometimes it helps to open the drive. You never know, you will have to face some non-standard Windows settings.
Sometimes you really want to know what will happen if you press Ctrl + W while on the desktop in the operating system. But some are wary of doing this. For the sake of curiosity, take the suggested action. And see what happens.
What will you see? Nothing. No action will take place on the computer. After all, this keyboard shortcut is not intended to be used by default in Windows. This means that in order to assign an action, you will have to use specialized programs. There are a lot of them, but the main thing is that you now know about the absence of any reaction of the computer to this combination of buttons on the keyboard. Why, then, do users say to each other: "Press Ctrl + W"? Is this just a way to scare unknowing people?
Not at all. In reality, there is still a small range of applications on a computer that require this combination. For example, this applies to browsers installed on the operating system. It's no secret that these utilities can be completely controlled using the keyboard.
What happens if you press Ctrl + W directly in the browser? Try to do this - the result will not be long in coming. Don't like to experiment? Then you should know in advance that this combination serves to close the tabs. More precisely, it removes the selected page. If at the time of pressing you had only one tab open, then the browser will close altogether.
Do not be alarmed, it should be so. Remember that Ctrl + W is not at all a terrible combination or function. But try to remember what it means. Otherwise, you can inadvertently close an important tab.
True, there is one more point that should be taken into account. What happens if you press Ctrl + W during a game? In fact, it is difficult to predict. But, as practice shows, in most cases, after the performed manipulations, your character will run.
In some games, Ctrl + W is assigned a special meaning. And you can use it to control your character comfortably. As already mentioned, the meaning of "Run" is often found. A little less often - "Sight".
In general, it is difficult to predict what Ctrl + W is responsible for in the game. Better to look at the settings and remember them. As you can see, there is nothing dangerous. But there are exceptions.
Sometimes, however, there are cases when pressing Ctrl + W is dangerous for the operating system. For example, if your computer is infected. And with all this, you are given a message that to close, say, a banner, you need to press Ctrl + W. In this case, the Trojan will be activated. And as a result, you will lose all control over your computer.
But this rarely happens. Basically, such a combination on the keyboard does not pose any danger. Click on it and you will see how the computer will remain safe and sound.
